Strategic Program

  • To recognize and support IEEE members' contributions in science and technology for the development of humanity in Indonesia, especially to improve economic and social life in facing new and unique global challenges.
  • Actively support and facilitate joint activities between the Government, Industry, Universities, and other institutions/organizations in Indonesia.
  • Empower stronger relationships between universities and industry to enable effective transfer of innovative technologies and product concepts and promote their translation into private sector business growth, job creation and overall economic impact.
  • Actively collaborate with the government in formulating and drafting regulations that support the development of science and technology in Indonesia, especially in creating a good ecosystem for research and development of technology-based products in Indonesia.
  • Support and facilitate young talents by promoting ideas, expertise, technology skills & innovation, and encouraging international collaboration.
  • Strengthen and further develop programs and activities: Conferences, Special Lecture Programs, Technical Workshops, Congresses, and increase support and participation in IEEE activities in various regions throughout Indonesia.
  • Enhance the impact of IEEE Indonesia through better and more competitive contributions in the form of standards, patents, prototypes, research and dissemination, regulatory initiatives, and all other relevant outcomes, as key performance indicators.


IEEE Indonesia Section 2021 Work Plan

  • Conducting expertise exchange programs for IEEE members through online-based courses and training.
  • Organizing events that accommodate the interests of each component of IEEE members in Indonesia, including those working outside Java and in Eastern Indonesia, in the industrial and government sectors, new graduates who are starting their careers, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Bridging student and lecturer internship programs in various industries and research institutions in Indonesia
  • Conducting exchange of information on government, industry and university research programs
  • Facilitate the study and dissemination of government regulations related to technology and its applications.
  • Encourage the growth of Professional Certification Institutions based on IEEE standards and actively engage in the implementation of standards and the socialization of the latest standards.
  • Encourage and support the government in creating regulations that foster a research ecosystem that supports the growth of technology-based products in Indonesia.
  • Support and facilitate the participation of IEEE Indonesia Student Branch in IEEE contests and events

  • Assistance and facilitation of the implementation of the Tridharma activities of higher education in underdeveloped, frontier, outermost areas and/or other areas in accordance with the agreement of the parties.
