Tel-U Students Achieve Excellence at IEEE Congress
Telkom University students won third place at the IEEE Region Asia Pacific 2015 in Colombo, Sri Lanka."IEEE Student Branch Telkom University is the only student branch representing Indonesia in this congress," said Chair of the Tel-U Student Group Amanda Julia Isa in Bandung, Friday (24/7/2015). The four Tel-U team students consist of Amanda Julia Isa and Muhammad Fadhil (Telecommunication Engineering Study Program), Qhansa Di'Ayu Putri Bayu (Informatics Engineering Study Program) and Muhammad Ibnu Muharrom (Telecommunication and Informatics Business Management Study Program). At the IEEE Region 10 Congress 2015 in Colombo,Amanda said, no less than 250 delegates came from 28 countries in the Asia Pacific. Amanda added, there were 31 people who applied to go to Sri Lanka. However, after going through a fairly strict selection process, the IEEE Tel-U team was finally selected to represent Indonesia to Sri Lanka with funding from Dikti, Indonesia Section and Tel-U, among others. The jury team decided that Amanda and her friends were selected as the top three in Asia Pacific behind Bangladesh and Malaysia.
